The award-winning Borneo Rainforest Lodge is nestled in a magnificent setting alongside the Danum River flowing through Sabah's largest protected Lowland Rainforest - Danum Valley Conservation Area - 43,800 Hectares of pristine and undisturbed tropical flora and fauna in the eastern part of Sabah! This pristine Rainforest is also home to more than 340 species Birds, 124 species of Mammals, 72 species of Reptiles, 56 species of Amphibians and a staggering 200 species of plants per hectare.
Their Chalets has only 30 individual chalets with fans and en-suite bathrooms, accommodating up to only 60 guests on any one day and on a Full-Board basis.
The new Premium Villas is open now for a higher level of comfort. These two single-storey and double-storey chalets combine minimalist design and green conservation exercising eco sensitive structure with minimal footprint. Each chalet has its own outdoor tub attached to spacious viewing deck for a panoramic view of the river and serene forest landscape.

DAY 1 LAHAD DATU/ DANUM VALLEY (L/D)
Early morning, transfer to airport to board a plane for Lahad Datu (via MH3010 ETD0625hrs).
0720 hours Meet & Greet at Lahad Datu Airport upon arrival at 0720hrs and proceed to Borneo Nature Tours office for registration & briefing.
0930 hours Depart for 2 and a half hours overland journey on gravel road to Danum Valley Borneo Rainforest Lodge. This is the largest protected area of lowland dipterocarp rainforest in Sabah, covering 43800 hectares.
1200 hours Arrive & Check In at the Lodge. Lunch.
1430 hours Slide presentation held in Conference Room.
1500 hours Afternoon Trek: Introduction to the forest through "Nature Trails" and tree top "Canopy Walkway" 300m in length and 26m at the highest point, for a close-up observation of the rainforest.
1900 hours Dinner at the Lodge.
2030 hours Night Drive in an open-top vehicle in search of nocturnal animals.
Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge.
DAY 2 DANUM VALLEY (B/L/D)
0700 hours Breakfast at the Lodge
0830 hours Guided jungle activities:
Trek to the Kadazandusun burial trail – “Coffin Cliff” and proceed for your journey up to the “View Point” and descend through the “Jacuzzi Pools” for refreshing dip in pool.
1200 hours Lunch at the lodge
1400 hours Afternoon jungle activity: Riverside trekking
1900 hours Dinner and proceed for another night walk on the quest to search for nocturnal animals.
DAY 3 DANUM VALLEY/LAHAD DATU (B/L)
0700 hours Breakfast
0800 hours Morning optional activity: Water Tubing at the Danum River
1200 hours Lunch
1330 hours Check out and depart for a 2 ½ hours journey to Lahad Datu
1600 hours Drop off at Lahad Datu Airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu

1820 hours Arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport
