The long 6.5 hours winding & imperfect road condition from KK are worth of hassles to visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. They are so cute and pleasant to watch. Shame we couldn’t see the indoor nursery. Highly recommend if you can. There are places to visit along the way namely Kundasang. You’ll be blown away with the numbers of various fruits that are not available in your local supermarkets.

Recently we stayed at the Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort in Kota Kinabalu and organised a tour to Sandakan with your agent at the resort . This was an excellent tour which was organised with professionalism from the agent , and I would like to make special note of Jame , who was our guide in Sandakan, as he did an EXCELLENT job for us .Thank you

Best way to see Borneo!!

We travelled with Borneo Trails after booking it through travel agent in Australia. Our itinerary was fantastic and took us to all the places we had wanted to see. Everything ran like clockwork and we were always on time and never rushed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well situated. The guides were informative and happy to answer questions and go out of their way to help us see things. When I mentioned that I had hoped to see a flowering Rafflesia plant our guide found out where we could see one and took us there even though it wasn't on the itinerary. I was really appreciative. We saw a lot of animals during our time at the Kinabatangan River and we got to visit two war memorials which were very poignant and wonderful to visit. I would throughly recommended travelling with these guys if you want to do a thorough trip of Borneo. The accommodation as mentioned was great, the restaurants they took us to were all lovely and we got to enjoy a lot of local dishes. My only disappointment with the whole tour was that our coach has extremely squeaky suspension which made it hard to hear the commentary if you were sitting at the back of the bus. Do yourselves a favour and book with Borneo Trails.

We booked our 11 day Unbelievable Borneo tour with Trip A Deal in Australia. They use Borneo Trails to conduct the tour. We have nothing but praise for them. We were a group of 20. Our guide was Belle and she was fantastic! Our driver was Jay, also fabulous! They were always efficient, very knowledgeable, so caring and helpful.
They ensured we had the best experience at every stop.
We highly recommend this company and in particular Belle and Jay!! My husband can’t wait to return to climb Mount Kinabalu with Belle.
