Malaysian Tourism Federation: ‘Be cautious in putting out Covid-19 updates'

KUALA LUMPUR: While informing the public on the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia is necessary, continuously highlighting the increase in cases will affect the tourism industry.“The public health information related to Covid-19 should be factual but not over played,” said Malaysian Tourism Federation (MTF) President Datuk Tan Kok Liang.“Factual reporting is okay but continuously highlighting the increase in cases sends shock waves to the public in general, as people started speculating that another lockdown is imminent,” he said.“All tourism stakeholders should also start re-implementing hygiene checks to prevent Covid-19 more
