Borneo is fast emerging as a top game fishing destination in Southeast Asia. Indeed, the list of fighting fish available in South China Sea and particularly around Borneo Sabah is as long as the one to be found in the game fisherman's handbook. They include Marines, Sailfish, Tuna, Giant Trivially, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Cobia, Barracuda, Rainbow Runner, Dolphin Fish, Queen Fish and African Pompano.
We offer join fishing on first come basis with ample fishing space, not more than 6 anglers per boat. To avoid disappointment, booking in advance is recommended. Meals, ice, soft drinks and bait are included. All you have to bring is a cheerful and positive attitude to experience a successful fun trip.
Information on Fishing
Two nearby islands are located within the fishing zone, namely Mengalum and Mantanani Island which will act as good shelters for fishing activities Located just inside the Continental Shelf, this area is rich of trolling for pelagic fishes including Black Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi-mahi, Yellow Fin Tuna, Dog tooth Tuna, Black Kingfish (Cobia), Giant Trevally, Giant Barracuda, etc., and bottom-bashing for Giant Grouper, Red Snapper, Red Emperor, Long- nosed Emperor, Coral Trout, etc., you name them - all the tropical fishes are there. The vast expanses of natural deep reefs, sunken shoals, man-made FADs (read, off-shore oil-rigs and production platforms) and off-shore islands, are there to provide the necessary attractions for a rich and varied marine life.
Borneo Fishing Trails - Tour Itinerary
06.00: Pick you up at hotel lobby. Transfer to the jetty.
07.30: Depart from jetty.
08.00: Trolling starts. For novice, our full skill experienced crews will assist you with the fishing tactic necessary.
11.00: Arriving at Fishing Point
12.00: Lunch and more fishing
14.00: Enjoy fishing with hand line and trolling
16.30: Before sunset, we head back to Kota Kinabalu.
17.00: Transfer to your hotel.
