KOTA KINABALU CITY BIRD SANCTUARYDuration: 3 hours from 1500 - 1800 hrs Code: BT02-A Located just 2KM from the city centre on about 24 hectares (60 acres) of mangrove wetlands, the Sanctuary is an environmental education centre, providing urban recreation, nature appreciation and eco-tourism for both locals and overseas visitors. About 80 species have been identified at the Sanctuary. Bird watching is best at dawn when the birds prepare to search for food or at dusk when they come back to roost for the night. Browse around shopping complexes and the handicraft market and maybe you might find something for yourself. 1900 HRS After much walking and bargaining, depart for the City's outlets. Mention food and there'll be a host of recommendations. From fresh seafood to local fruits, you are definitely in for a treat. Sabah's palate includes authentic Asian flavours from Malay, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Japanese, the Philippines to local ethnic specialties.
ORCHID TOUR
Duration: 4 hours Code: BT02-C 08:00am - Meet at hotel lobby and proceed for a 45 minutes drive to Kionsom, Inanam. Enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside; pass the chili & local fruits farms as well as the odd paddy fields along the way. See the big Bambangan trees along the route. Upon reaching the farm, enjoy walking among the native & some rare North Borneo orchids and be captivated by some of the prize-winning hybrids. They are more than 200 species and sub species found here. Apart from orchid, they are also has cactus & other flowering plant found there.
 After a brief visit, have a rest for local coffee or tea, & tidbits.. Transfer back to hotel.

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park (or Lokkawi Zoo) is located at old Penampang-Papar road, about 15km from Kota Kinabalu city. The visitors can see Borneo and Malaysia wild animals such as orang utan, proboscis monkey, Asian elephant, rhino, hornbill birds, tiger, etc. Open daily from 9.30am - 5.30pm.
